look bought a 93 chevy w/a 350 in the bay but originaly it housed a 4.3 not sure what was done before but now its mine and want a reliable ride to give to my Dad

dude a 350 is a way better motor for a full sized then a 4.3 i hate a 94ext. with a 4.3 it was a effin nightmar eethe mileage was worse... granted the motor was easy to work on but it was all show and go at all...... keep the 350 you will actually get better mileage due to the extra torque.
