Sounds like a plan! I work on the truck almost every night so my progress is moving kind of quick. I am hoping to have it done by the first of the summer. I am putting the cab on today or tommorrow so i can verify that the wheels are centered in the fenders at dump before i fully weld everything up. I snap a pic with the cab on. It might look more like a truck with it on. Thanks for complements! It helps me stay motovated. Talk to you later

Looks cool. After all the undercoating removal and having to build a rear subframe while the body is still on my Suburban and after I've Z'd the front I should have gone the entire frame build like you did. The only thing left OG is about 2ft of the center of the frame. If you need any help or pointers on the LS1 install hit me up. This is my second one and has been completely easy after the first one.

Yes i would appreciate all the pointers you can give me. I haven't bought the motor yet and i am in need of one so as soon as i get a little more money i am going to buy one. I have never done this type of conversion before so it is going to be interesting. Any tips on where you had the wiring harness reprogramed, what you had to do to the ac pump (i heard you have to relocate it) and anything else would be very much appreciated!

I've found out that truck brackets for accs. will interchange, so will the oil pans from camaro's or other LS powered cars. Do thorough measurements of where you think you'd like it to land. I'll have to look next week, but there's also a companty that offers set backs in 1" increments to help get you where you'd like to be. I can't stress enough of how strongly I feel about the Painless wiring company. Excellent tech help and excellent product! With their kit, all you need is the computer, nothing more. The painless kit has plugs for everything to keep it omissions legal. Not neccessary for us due to our year vehicle. I had a local dyno shop flash my computer once I had the install complete. Doing it that way they were able to troubleshoot as we went, if I was to have done something incorrectly. They were able to tweak it to my driving style (harder shifts, mild street, strip, etc) True, it costs more, but my shop was kind enough to let me watch and have a question/answer session rather than somebody over the phone asking you questions and leaving you at their mercy after hanging up. We took the ramp up on the RPM's off, removed the top end limiter, and raised the redline a couple thousand RPM's too. I'm sure we'll e-mail back and forth as you progress. Another site that has been a wealth of info has been www.chevyhighperformance.com , they've been awesome in answering motor/trans queries. See ya!- Stan sexton__1@hotmail.com
