i have a 92 astro cargo van.
the body is in good shape,
i was going to make it a pro street,
but everyone in my area takes a very long time to do this work. so i have been
looking into going with the big rims and tires, so i will need to lift it. the back is no problem i can use a block. the front is where i need some suggestions. should i use  use bigger springs, or is there a different spidle setup? and of couse i will never use those stupid stickers of m&ms or skittles!!
hahahahahahaa i am a custom painter/airbrush artist, so will put a nice paint job. any help will be greatly appreciated!! john

I can't believe someone who's asking about converting whatever ride they may have at hand into a "dunk", "donk", "bubble", "brick", or whatever other gay *** name they may go by, can possibly say, because they have an M&M, Skittle, Lakers theme they instantly become stupid.

I think this is the MOST prime example of "not seeing the forest for the trees". Can you not see the rediculous vehicle these said stickers or graphics are attatched too? Save yourself the humiliation and drive it right into the nearest large body of water if that's the best idea of "customization" you can come up with...........

I just don't get those things! I'd even welcome back the pending van craze or the odd customs of the late 60's-early 70's over these poorly executed wastes of money. So hard up to fit a set of plus sized wheels, you have to put a lift kit on it? A lift kit usually equates off road equipment not panel painting and gobs of candy and giant metal flake.

I'm going back out in the shop to go chrome plate some pieces on my rock crawler.....

donk's make me laugh.  there is so many donks around here though. its gettin to the point that you are more than likely to see a donk than a minitruck and that is sad.

John,

I'm not totally sure on this one but I think the Astro vans share the same spindle as the S-10 platform. You might be able to find out for sure by calling Belltech's tech line. If they confirm that they are the same then you can get a lift spindle from Fabtech to give you clearance for those Donk wheels.

i'm not against lifting a van if you do it with off-road tires and rims. At least then its functional. the moment you put 24's on it and some low pro's you might as well just kick yourself in the nuts because eventually someone else will when they see your ride. just my 2 pennies.

wouldn't this also apply to lifted suvs, trucks, etc., and not just vans? cuz lots of suvs and trucks are lifted on 24s with low pros too, so what's the diff if it's a van?

Makes no sense to LIFTanything in order to install low profile tires. The purpose of low profile tires are for on road performance and increased cornering abilities?

Makes as much sense a screwing for virginity!

5569- Because Donks are dumb and if he's going to lift his van like one, he might as well put some off-road tires on it.
