I have a 96 Tahoe that hasn't been started in 2 yrs. Am I right in thinking that it's a good idea to disable my ignition & turn over the motor for a few seconds to lube up the cylinders PRIOR to actually startin her? And how about my on-board compressors? Any suggestions (other than not lettin her sit so long) will be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Turning over the motor without the ignition hooked up will allow the oil pump to feed all the passages and bearings before any heavy loads are applied, so yes that is a good idea. One other thing if the truck has been sitting that long you might want to drain out the gas and refill with new stuff. old gas has a tendency to thicken up and get gummy and might make the truck run bad. Hope that helps and good luck. -Calin
