I would like to static drop my truck, but I don't want to comprimise my ride quality.  I was riding with my friend, who own's a static dropped S10, and I relized how horible the ride quality was.  So I want to make sure I get the best.  I also want level it off.  I was thinking about a 2/3 drop.  Any help is apreciated.

I have a '99 ranger extra cab. I put a Bellech 3" drop, front drop coils and rear leaf spings. It looks great, but the ride quality isn't so great. I think it has a lot to do with the wheel/tire combo. I have 18" mustang replica wheels, with Hankook 245/55 tires that run on like 40psi, so the ride sucked before the drop. I've heard a lot of talk about drop spindles being better. They keep your stock springs, and there's less wear on your ball joints and tires. Good luck ,I hope this helps!

Anytime you change the spring rate, tire size, side wall size/aspect ratio, your ride quality is going to change... for the better or worse depends on what you want and which way you go with the spring rates and tires.

In theory a straight drop spindle shouldn't change ride quality at all, one way or the other.
