Hey Everybody,
I just want to offer a few suggestions to you guys when submitting digital photos for our Home Grown Haulers section.
1.Most important! Turn that camera on to its highest setting. The larger the file, the better in the print world. Try to email us the image as it came straight from the camera, we'll do the color correcting for you.
2. Shoot in the shade on a sunny day. Get those colors to really pop! If you do shoot in full sun, use a polarizing filter to cut down on glare.
3.This should really tie for 1st place... put in a hot chick next to your truck. You could have a busted El Camino but your cute girlfriend standing next to it will make us happy!
4. Have fun! You'll feel really good when you see your ride in the magazine and know you took some time to make a nice photo. Don't forget to shoot multiple angles and maybe some cool interior shots.
See ya!
Andy
