let's hear about 'em. I'll start.
back in the day i was grinding a factory brake line mounting tab off the rear axle of my tacoma. The bed was off the frame and i had a old sheet covering the cab and protecting it from the sparks coming from my 4-inch Makita angle grinder. The shop was quite loud that day so i couldn't hear my friend Shawn yelling at me that the cab of my truck had caught fire.
and that my friends is how that truck came to be known as the "burntaco".

parking lot disaster:
while trying to "install" a billet rear view mirror, we end up breaking the windshield.

Bwuhahaha... nice... both of them...
I think the worst I've done is when buttoning up my four-link I welded through a brake line. Or there was zapping myself with the TIG welder... that one kinda stung.
Hmm... I'll be back to this thread, I just need to think about everything else I've done over the years... I'm sure there are some good ones I've blocked from memory.

I was cutting the hanger off of one of the first trucks I built with a cut off wheel. The wheel grabbed and jerked the grinder straight into the gas tank. I had flaming stream of gas in the shop. The truck ended up with a fuel cell needless to say lol

now that's funny stuff. i always liked it when the grinder would kick and grab onto an article of my clothing until it wound up tight, stopped and started smoking. good times.

Yea, grinders are from the devil. I've had disks explode but luckily have yet to be attacked by one... knock on wood...

I'd be less scared of the 14" exploding since it has a big guard (or should at least), it's the stupid like 4 1/2" with just a tiny guard that scare me... lol

While working at the upholstery shop my Dad and I were covering a large piece of panel board that would become a false wall inside the customer trunk. So my pop was manning the pneumatic staple gun as I pulled the material tight. well things were going just fine until pop got a little ahead of me and pulled the trigger sending a staple straight thought the board and into my thumb. Now I may sound like a baby but those little staples hurt like mad. Luckily I didn't get stuck or bleed all over the piece but it taught me a lesson I will never forget-Move faster then the old man or he will get cha'

HaHa....funny, if he is anything like my dad, he would have told me it was my fault that I wasn't moving fast enough and not his fault he pulled the trigger to soon!!!!lol
