I am building an S10 for the purpose of road racing. Does anybody have suggestions for what to do?
What kind of suspension should I use? Interior gutted or finished? Daily driver and/or 180+mph toy?

a road race S10 would be a fun build and a bitchin truck to drive. definately gut the thing and go all the way road race with a coilover suspension, quick change rear axle, full cage, fire supression system etc. You might as well make it easy on yourself and use a an aluminum small block, which will save weight and help the truck handle better. i'd go with an LS7, which will give you 500+hp on pump gas and move the motor back a few inches to give a better front/rear weight bias.
keep me posted! i wanna see this thing.

I got my inspiration from the Banks Sidewinder GMC Sierra. I kind of have a limited budget so I don't know if i can get my hands on an LS7. I actually work for a company call VSI (Vehicle Specialties Inc.) for people who don't know. I can get a bunch of my parts there. We do have an in house turbo expert and i have an idea what kind of turbo I'm looking at. I am either starting the truck this summer or I'm starting it and also buying a laydown go kart. So either way I'm going wicked fast.

i didn't see the title of your thread because i got here from a link you had in another thread. Twin turbos would be cool but can you control the boost so the power doesnt hit so hard that you spin the truck out coming out of a corner?
