i have a 94 chevy 1500 ext cab i want to put a roll pan on it i am getting a steel one but i dont know if i should gett a weld on or a bolt on i want to blend it in with the bed sides for a seemless look and i plan to shave the tail gate would it be better to get a tail gate skin or just work wih the original tail gate  

The weld on roll pans have a smaller gap between the roll pan and bed sides. As far as the tailgate goes it would deff be cheaper to use what you have!! You can cut the outside skin off the original tailgate. Just a idea.
