97 sierra 2wd, Lift

ok, i know what you are thinking ... why am i lifting a 2wd... well the simple answer is because it is sexy... anyway ..heres my question ... i have a 97 sierra reg cab 2wd and i baught a lift which consists of 4" lift spindals and 2" coil lifts for the front and i have 4" blocks and extended shocks for the back... i have done some research and saw http://www.truckinweb.com/tech/suspension/0613tr_1994_chevy_silverado_suspension/index.html pretty well the same install... my question is is #1 is the angle on the u joint going into the dif going to be too much with the blocks and am i going to need any other parts to do it? any other information about it would be nice too any recomendations?

Do you have flat blocks or angled blocks?

they are flat blocks... the same as in the link although i could get angled ones...

The angled blocks I know would correct any pinion angle problems that would appear. But I am not sure about flat ones. If you go with the flat blocks and there is a problem, all you would need are some pinion shims like these.

do you know of any problems i might run into with the spindal replacements ... ?

Spindles will keep all of the factory suspension geometry the same, but you may run into a problem with the steering linkage. not real sure but may need to get a drop down pitman arm kit some say you need em some say not necessary. Either way it would be smart to keep a eye out for a possible problem in this area. Everything else should be straigh forward.

yea i have heard the same thing ... from the link i put in the first post they show them having it but the kit i have did not come with them but i will keep an eye on it.. thanks for help
