I've something to discuss about the 04-Present F-150's. I have an 07 FX2 Sport F-150 and I love the styling and the interior on these trucks and in my opinion the best of any stock truck I have seen.  I would like to know if anyone has ideas on how to maximize the horsepower on these trucks to match up with the SRT-10 Dodge?  I know that dropping in a supercharger will help but the F-150's are still slower than the Dodge. Any ideas?

carver,  You want to match the h.p. of SRT-10s with a Ford 150?  duh?  I had '02 and '03 F150 HarleyDavidson F150s with the 340 horse supercharged engines and they weren't squat.  I then got a F250 6 speed manual regular cab V-10 with 362 h.p. and it wasn't squat, either.  I now have two SRT-10s and am happy.  So if you want my advice, get some of the best gasoline available.  Put it into your Ford.  Drive the Ford to wherever an SRT-10 is for sale and beg the owner to sell it to you.  THEN you will have some h.p.  Recently Ford has begun offering specialty versions of their trucks for big bucks that actually have some h.p. but in 2006, I got my two new SRT-10s for about $60/h.p.  Those numbers cannot be matched by ANY new vehicle for sale.

Danko, I hear ya man, but I just have to much invested in my F-150 right now to get rid of it.  I guess I'll just have to slam it and have a cruising truck instead of one that hauls ass. And really my F-150 is a tow pig more than a speedster.  I have a 33 foot bumper pull travel trailer and it pulls it just fine and I can't complain.

Let me know when you want a good SRT-10 with low miles and price.  My price drops about $300/month and I do not put a lot of miles on it.  s.e. Michigan  I suggest you do NOT slam your Ford.  Drive it and use it for pulling and save your money.

What color is your srt-10? Quad or single cab, 6speed or Auto? I am in Texas and I have a friend of mine that is in the market to buy a SRT-10 and he might be interested if your serious about selling one.

I have a silver Regular Cab which are all 6 speeds with Hurst shifters (they just feel right!).  I bought it from a Houston dealer in June, 2006 and spent $1093 to ship it north.  The factory warranty has over a year and 22,000 miles left on it.  It is totally stock except the upsized 325/50 Kumhos on the rear.  I am getting close to making some changes.  Tell your friend if he thinks he wants it that I can be patient but I want to change the grille to the black plastic version to match the scoop and cowcatcher grilles better and cut off the muffler and the ugly chrome pot exhaust tips.  I owe about $26,000 through Navy Federal Credit Union and would take many hundreds less than I owe.  It has the optional side airbags, polished wheels and dealer-installed '05 DVD nav.  Meanwhile, this IS a Ford thread and my main comment is that Ford does not offer a performance engine -- PERIOD!!!   You have to go to the specialty market to buy an expensive variation to get any real h.p. and that IS an expensive shame!  ..and those do not have the cubic inches this old oldschooler desires.  I had a 460 van, a V-10 6 speed F250 regular cab and tried the F150 Harleys but none of them did the job like the SRTs do.  My wife has a bad knee and is tired of shifting her '06 NightRunner SRT-10 so I want to sell my '04, drive her '06 and get her something automatic because she wants to be shiftless.

Does anyone have any idea how much horsepower you can expect to get out dropping a set of headers on an 07 F-150 5.4.  I have true dual flowmasters, K&N cold air intake and a Hypertech Power Programmer and I am interested in a set of headers to put on but can not decide which brand to go with.  I want to squeeze as much horsepower out of the headers so if anyone has any idea on which brand and how many ponies i'll get let me know.
