I would like to remove the two piece door windows on a 1954 Chevy 3100 and install the single 1047-1950 single window door internals. Are there any problems with this change. I know that most people want the wing window, but I like the cleaner look of the single.

I have a 52 and would also like to convert to a single window. The doors from on a 47 to 51 door would work. The hardware from an earlier door (crank and lift) could also be used in the 54. A slight modification to the wing window attaching bracket (cut) is necessary and a new (longer) front channel would have to be fabricated or removed from an ealier door (it is welded in). LMC and others have all the necessary items including the glass. My doors were (along with the roof) chopped 3" and widen 2". That is were the previous owner decided it was too much work to but glass in and sold the vehicle. They make some pretty generic power window conversion that would probably work also. I plan on starting my conversion soon.

Yeah LMC has everything you need....That is what I did to mine, pretty simple mod to do.
