newbie

I have a 69 chey pickup with over 200k miles on the 2nd engine. It now goes thru a lot of oil but runs good.

I am interested in swapping in a used gen IV with auto tranny. I want to have a flex fuel pickup - E85 is easy to find. It looks like I would need to get a engine/tranny, computer, gas petal for drive by wire, and perhaps a fuel tank with pump because of no return line.

I plan to put in a Vintage Air AC.

I am told that that these engines have AC compressor located on right front bottom of engine and may or may not cause problems I would try to get a Painless FI kit if they make such a thing. Would try to use exhaust manifolds that come on engine

I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

painless does make an LS engine swap harness. The a/c compressor can go on the passenger side upper front of the engine as well. where do you live that E85 is readily available? if you do the swap please take pics and post them there. i'd love to see them. thanks!
