I have been considering putting my truck up for sale but I'm just not to sure how to go about pricing it.  I know what it books for by using NADA and KBB but its a custom truck.  I've put a ton of money into the truck, so I'd rather not let it go at "retail" value.  How can you go about pricing a show truck? Is there people that appraise custom trucks?   I know that building a truck and selling it is a losing battle, but I have enjoyed the truck since day one but its time to let it go. I could really use the money. Besides it'll give the opportunity to build something else.

Selling a custom is all about the buyer. If you can find someone at a show or someone who wants a custom they usually will pay a little over the actual blue book value. It really just depends on the quality of the truck though. you can get it appraised but usually it isnt worth the money

are you in a rush? I mean if not, name your price and see what the interest level is... yeah it's gonna take the right buyer, don't give it away    it's a nice truck

I'm definately not in a rush and I refuse to price it cheap.  I've seen way to many trucks that were sold as very nice trucks but treated like crap by the new owner.  I'd rather the right buyer end up with my truck. Call it selfish or whatever but I've put way to much time, money, and hardwork into it to see someone buy it and not have respect for it.  I've been pricing the truck at $28,000.

03 GMC Sierra, 5.3 V8, 3:73 rearend, SLE package, 27,000 miles,  bagged, 22" intro's, lays true frame, custom tubbed front and rear by the Lil Shop of Horrors, custom body work, custom paint, etc, etc.  I'll have to do an add on the classifieds.

When I built my 1st custom truck (Back in 1996, was a 1992 s-10) I had dropped probably around $12k into the truck besides what I had paid for it.. When I sold it, I think I got $4k for it.. So I lost my ass pretty bad. I think the best best to get top dollar for custom vehicles is on ebay. There is more people looking at it who appriciate what goes into these trucks. Now if a person was sifting threw the paper and seen a 03' for 28k they would think the seller was on crack. But with ebay, theres a place to put every mod done, and numerous pictures. thatd be the route Id take.
