Hey There,
I need to convert my 2003 Chevy Silverado front rotors to a 5 lug design for aftermarket wheels. I've just started racing the truck on weekends and it looks really ugly with stock front tires and wheels with Drag Stars and Goodyear slicks out back on a Dana rear end. Does anyone know of an interchangable front rotor I could use. Or do I weld up a set of new rotors and drill them for long studs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By the way.....what times are you running with your truck? What mods have you made?

Here's a link to a company that makes adapters:

http://www.adaptitusa.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=45

There are other bolt spacings available but I went with 5 x 4.5

Hope this helps!

thanks for the info moldman66!

the adapters are way easier than welding up a set of rotors and drilling a new pattern. take my word on that!

you may try the hubs from a two wheel drive truck, Two wheel drive are five lug and four wheel drives are six lug. Not sure if this is a four wheel drive, but you may be better off leaving the six lugs on it if it's a four wheel drive for durability and buy different wheels that are made for six lug wheels if that's what you have.

The truck in question is a 2003 1500 2wd Silverado that is only available with 6 lug. Sure wish they still came with 5 lugs.....I'd sure be happier!

personally id just invest more money into the motor then making it look pretty, to me a race car is made to go fast and be of a high end performance not to look good. as long as it runs good no one is gonna hold it against you that your rims dont match. my 2 cents
