I would like to put 20's in front w/ a 275-45-20 and 22's in rear w/ a 285-40-22 on my gmc sierra. Will it set an ABS light? If anyone knows, please let me know thanx.

What year Sierra? I did a tire size difference in height of 2" on my 99 Silverado (20" wheels) and started to have trouble with my ABS light. I plan on switching to the same size wheels/tires that you mention myself. I figure that the damage is done with the ABS light now so why not have the look I want!
Other than the ABS not working I don't think it's a safety issue.....I'm not a fan of ABS anyways. I'd talk to the GMC dealer if you still have available warranty.

If the front tires are not the same size as the rear tires, the EBCM calibration must match the FRONT tire size and the PCM calibration must match the REAR tire size. I found this info in SI-gm service- you have to go into ebcm and calibrate front tire size and calibrate pcm w/ rear tire size and abs light will not come on. It may be helpfull to someone else!

I have a new body style Sierra 2wd crew cab w/22" 305/40/22's. This is my first set of custom wheels. Not only did I have to trim the wheel wells, but now I am getting 3 to 4 mpg less than when i had 17" stock wheels. Is this common? Although the ride seems to be ok, should I get an alignment?
