I have a 1998 k1500 w/ the 4l60e, is ther anyway to modify the transmission harness of a 1993 4l60e to work with the truck.

im no expert but its likely the internals of the trans are different and will require a different computer and harness.

According to Mark Cambell at Street and Performance (www.hotrodlane.cc)

Pre-94 transmissions have a 12 pin wiring harness on the passenger side of the trans. '95 and later model trans have a 13 pin harness.


you'll definately need the computer, wiring harness and trans to make the swap.
