New SHP Short Blocks and Top End Kits from Dart

Dart's new SHP line is growing fast! Check out the latest three product offerings from the Special High Performance Division!

Ford SHP Short Blocks
Based on Dart's highly regarded Ford Sportsman cast-iron block, these new pre-engineered, dyno tested short blocks make it easy to build a powerful and durable Ford small block V8 at a very affordable price.

These short blocks are available in two displacements: 347 cubic inches (4.030" bore x 3.400" stroke) and 363 cubic inches (4.125" bore x 3.400" stroke). Both versions use the Dart Sportsman cast-iron block with 8.200" deck height (standard 302) to fit a wide variety of applications. The blocks are plate honed for optimum cylinder sealing and include coated cam bearings for reliability. The crankshaft assemblies feature forged 4340 steel I-beam connecting rods, forged pistons with full floating pins, Hastings piston rings and Clevite bearings. Dart SHP engine assemblies include externally balanced cast-steel crankshafts, which can be upgraded to forged 4340 steel for extra durability.

Ford Top End Kits
We now offer top end kits for small block Fords. Our kits for small block and big block Chevrolets have proven to be extremely popular since they deliver a package of performance matched parts at a great price. Now we’ve taken the guesswork out of building a high performance Ford engine.

The Ford top end kit offers a choice of fully assembled iron eagle or Pro 1 aluminum cylinder heads, chrome plated steel valve covers, a dual plane or single plane intake manifold, head bolts, spark plugs, and all of the gaskets and fasteners needed for installation. These top end kits are ideal for enthusiasts who want maximum performance for minimum dollars.
