Is it mechanically sound? Faded factory paint or primer? I'd rather see original paint than primer personally, primer can hide a world of bad body work. If this truck is rust free (no holes) and runs good I'd say go for it, it sounds like a deal.

I personally think paint, primer, and/or rust are the least of the problems you COULD encounter on a bagged truck. I'd investigate the integrity of the suspension job, and of course it's important that it's mechanically sound. A bagged fullsize truck for $1500 almost sounds too good to be true to me - if the air ride is shady and needs to be redone, you might be in for a world of hurt. Second hand bagged trucks - unless you plan on redoing it - could be hit or miss. Check out the welds, design, wiring, etc. of the system. Even a solidly-bagged truck needs maintenance and encounters problems. I wouldn't want you to get something and regret it. Why is it for sale?

thank you for the speedy replies.
the engine sounds fine, i had my mechanic buddy check it out and he gave it a good2go....tho he said there is supposed to be oil circulating in the head...and there wasn't. maybe it was just low on oil.
he says he's selling it because he doesn't have enough money to fix it.
suspension: everything looks "clean", but like i said before, one of the bags leak, meaning they will all leak soon. how much does a set of 4 bags cost? and how hard is it to replace?
I wanna get this truck and play with it...i might learn alot along the way.
I found a company coupon to do a paint-job for $200: ($350 retail) http://www.earlscheib.com/coupon.php
the 2nd biggest worrry i have is i heard even if you align the car right, the tire's will wear out VERY quickly...and these 20" tires are not cheap.
I'll appreciate any more input.

Why do you say that if one of the bags leaks, they will all leak soon? Are you sure it's not a fitting into the bag or something else leaking? It might not be the bag. If the bags are RUBBING, that's a different story. Replacing bags is a job...hey do you have any pics of it? Yeah, any bagged truck has alignment issues... align it at ride height and try to drive it there. I don't know about VERY quickly...if that's happening, it could probably be aligned better. Also depends on the setup... You'll definitely learn a lot along the way - you might be forced to.

If you ask me $1500 for a decent truck is not bad - add in bags and 20's and I don't care if it needs some TLC, it's a deal! Buy it, fix what is needed and learn along the way. I wouldn't bother with a $200 Sheib job right away, save your money for more important issues, plus give it time and see if anything "pops" up or out in the body (rust coming back through primer, etc).
I thought the same thing with the leaking issues that 5569 did. It might be an easy fix.
We all remember our first project car, all the things we did wrong, all the things we learned to do right, and the things we learned to pay others to do! At that price it would be hard to lose money on the deal. Keep it a down and dirty budget hot rod....flat sheen paint, paint or powdercoat the 20's if they look nasty, do the maintenance needed, and enjoy your low buck project!
I'm in Iowa...the rust belt...bone stock 92 Silverados with rust (cab corners and rear wheelwells with holes) here are selling for $1500 all day long. If you want this truck you might not want to wait too long.....or maybe I'll try to find it!!!

DAMN IT! HE ALREADY SOLD IT!
i'm pissed.
btw...yes, it would be my daily....but keep in mind i do NOT drive that much...i usally ride my bike (f4i)
this was gonna be mainly to load my bike in the back and to tow it to and from the stunt spot.
now, while we are on the subject.
assuming I buy a stock silverado....how much would air bags cost? how much for labor? (if i don't do anything myself)

You cannot wait long when something is a steal...sad but true.
If you are on a tight budget and want reliability for a daily driver you might want to consider a static drop to get the look you want. Depending on the truck and kit you can do a 3"-4" drop for right around $500.
Watch Craigslist and eBay as well. There are always deals but you have to act fast when you find one.
