Ok so here I am in this awsome state of massachusetts where they decided any vehicle with 5 tires or more on the ground (never seen a vehicle with 5 tires on the ground?????)has to go through DOT inspection and comply with their standards which of course includes my two 1 ton chevy dually trucks. My friend has put a bug in my ear that i could goto a super single rear tire and avoid some very unwanted expenses, however my search amongst the iternet has not been encouraging. Anyone know where i can find some unfancy rimms and tires for super singles for 1 ton dually trucks?

It will not be cheap! There a a lot of custom options but you have to decide how much you are willing to spend to avoid the inspection...and if it really is worth it. It won't be a $500 fix. That won't even buy 2 tires, not to mention rims!

Both trucks need new tires all around anyway, usually a $1200.00 plus expense (6 good load range e tires at 200-250 bucks a peice) plus there a lot of other vehicle rules here in mass that are based on the number of tires you have on the ground, including the toll road fees wich are increasing as well. It is not unusual for me to put 4 tons int the truck, shh dont tell, so ultimately i want the load capacity with only four on the ground. Plus im kinda liking some of the other benniys of the super single. It be nice to find someone thats done it or if i could find a place that would sell me the rims and tires.
