Hey all,
First off, im Chris and I own a 2000 Silverado, and yes... am new to this group. lol
Anyways, I have a few questions regarding lowering my truck. I already put a Belltech 3/4 drop kit on it... but I'm feeling the urge to keep dropping it. lol So my main question is, can I put a truck like mine on air bags AND still be able to haul a fair amount of stuff in the bed of the truck? The truck is just a 2x4, so no off roading. It isn't set up for towing, so none of that either. The most I'd ever look to carry in it, weight wise is probably a load of dirt. So I'm hoping to find out if I can put the truck on bags and still be able to haul things and use the truck... as a truck?
Assuming I can bag the truck, I would need to put in a C-notch as well correct? Would there be any way to do that, and still keep the bed of the truck flat? So I would be able to avoid the giant hump in the middle of the bed.

Thanks for any input and help!

yeah you can bag it and still use it as a truck but if you only put a notch in that will clear the factory bed it prob wont lay out all the way depending on your tire size

hmm, ok. So if i'm understanding correctly, what your saying is basically I can bag it and use it as I would if it were at say stock height. and if I only notch the frame the truck will be lower, but wont be layin on the ground. Am I correct? Thanks for the reply btw

yup that is correct. you can adjust the air pressure in the bags to compensate for the extra weight in the bed.

you could also raise the bedfloor...that would take away from the depth of the bed, but you'd have a bed with no holes. And it should be happy as can be bagged with the extra weight in the bed.

ok, awesome! Thanks for the responses guys, time for me to start planing and saving money for the bags and everything! lol

Oh, and one more thing about this. With my lowering kit I had to raise my drive shaft so it wouldnt fall out while I was driving (since it had been moved into a bad angle due to the lower stance). When you put a truck on bags what happens with the drive shaft? When you raise and lower it, aren't you screwing around with the angle of the drive shaft constantly? or does the drive shaft stay in one fixed spot? Thanks again for any help
