here is a question that's been asked a bunch i'm sure, but i'd appreciate any and all opinions as i get ready to get this done.
i have a '95 silverado sportside that i am currently updating and freshening up, and as a part of that process i am wanting to do a 2/4 drop.  the truck came from dealer new w/ a 'conversion' that gave it leather buckets, a 275/60/15x10 wheel/tire pkg., and fender flare/ running boards, etc., typical for the times. i am going to stay with the wheel/tire combo, so with the flares a 2/4 drop should provide what i want in the way of 'the look'.
so the burning question for me at this stage is what mfg/components to use to drop this guy yet keep the ride i now have, or improve on it if possible, and what related considerations i might need to address.
i am thinking that it is down to mcgaughy or belltech, and that the best result is going to be from spindles, with or without a companion coil spring change.
appears to me that shocks are going to be a really critical component in keeping or improving on the factory ride?  i don't mind spending what is necessary to get the right shock, or other components, but don't want to spend more than is necessary either.
thanks for your input, truly appreciated.            rjs
