Here is my problem, 96 Cheyenne c2500 vortec 350 5 speed 2wd. A/C compressor was not kicking on, but the the heater control in the dash was working fine. Recirculate button lit up, a/c button lit up, high, medium, low, and off worked, blah blah blah, everything worked just wasn't blowing cold. Messed with under hood a/c relay and got the a/c compressor to kick on. Bought new relay and didn't work, put old relay back in, wedged it a way and it worked. Perfect, everything fixed. Next day battery dead. Relay didn't shut off with truck and was giving electric to the magnetic clutch all night. Woke up with a dead battery. So I decided to put in my own relay that would give it fused power from the battery whenever you presses the a/c button. Great idea except I used a relay I had laying around and wired it wrong. Now only the high setting works on feet mode. Off works, but nothing in between. No defrost or anything else. Haven't tried hot to cold. All fuses in cab are good, all fused under hood are good, tried 3 different heater controls, MY RELAY IS COMPLETELY DISCONNECTED BEFORE ANY OF THIS, and replaced the factory relay behind the glove box. I can't figure it out. Any ideas? What did I fry?

As long as the recirculate button and the a/c button are out (even though they don't light up when pushed in) the floor, mix, head, mix, defrost works. But push in either buttons and it goes back to floor. Heat or cold works too.
