97 Sportside factory no rear bumper?

Was there ever an S10 Sportside from the factory with no rear bumper.
I have a 97 and it looks stock with no bumper.

If it is a factory stock job I sure would appreciate any information about it.

Totally looks aftermarket to me......and the piece that mounts on the tailgate, never seen anything like that on a stock S10 before.....plus it would have been color matched to the truck considering the option level of your S10.
