I know many truck owners here have removed their ugly stock airbag steering wheels - in particular late 90's to early 00's GM models. I know I have to disarm the bag by disconnecting the negative battery cable and waiting - but how long? I've read 1 minute - 10 minutes - 1 hour - I just need to be sure which. I also need to know how to release the bag. All instructions I find online are for 2007 and newer GM and show 2 small holes in the back of the steering wheel to insert a allen wrench but my wheel does not have these holes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
George

wonder if it's the same for the S10's...I'll check out my steering wheel at home. There has to be a way for you to release it. Mine had holes. I'll check it out.
