Any of you guys have customized Dodge Ramchargers? Let us know!
I have an 87 2wd Ramcharger that I want to trick out.It seems that nobody makes aftermarket performance parts for these trucks.I plan on dropping the truck 4" front and rear, installing disc brakes on the rear, going to 20in wheels with low-pro tires, shaving the mirrors and door handles, install suicide doors, and for power, a new 5.7 hemi and trans set-up from a later RAM truck. If there is anyone who can help me in finding the drop suspension parts, please reply to this post.
Hi I have an '84 Ramcharger that I am bagging. There isn't alot of parts for these but with a little creativity parts can be modified to fit. Early Dakotas share the same ball joints so with a little work you can use dropped spindles from chassis tech. Waiting for my spindles to arrive so I can figure out what needs to be done to make them fit. You can also do the old chevy trick of raising up the front x-member as it hangs down 1 1/2 inches from the frame. In the back a flip kit can be made using a axle pearch from mopar performance and weld in place-old school style $15 from summit 2' drop shackles will work but you run into the fill for the gas tank. I made a simple 2 link/panhard bar for the back of mine. A billet insert is easy to make using an insert for a 81-87 chevy and cutting off the bottom two bars. Discs are easy as well by using rear discs off of a jeep grand cherokee that came with them. As most come with 318 or 360 parts are super easy to come by. Headman makes headers as so does hooker. everyone makes an intake. Scrounge up a later magnum 360 witha a518 overdrive(super cheap) put on a carbed intake and make an easy 300+ hphope this helps!
I have a 2wd ramcharger. Its a 89 and i have just put drilled and slotted front discs and 22's on it. I have HID headlights. I have a grant rollpan and one off clear taillights. I just gutted the interior and started dynamatting the whole thing cuz i love audio. I have 3 9500 mtx 15's and and running two optima batteries and two mtx 4500 watt amps. If you find any trim pieces and grilles for these trucks let me kno.

I know it's been a couple of years since you posted this...but it sure would be a massive help if you could let me know what year jeep grand cherokee it was you used to get the rear disc brakes from???I have done alot to my ramcharger and all I have left is the rear disc brakes.I have found a few jeeps that have rear disc brakes on them, just unsure which ones will work,or does it matter as long as the bolt pattern is the same...I would deeply appreciate any info (on my question)you might be able to pass on...Thanks (in advance)
